HAYWARD, CA, September 24, 1999 - Sepragen Corporation (OTC BB: SPGNU, SPGNA, SPGNW) announced the
addition of Mr. Werner Kofod Nielsen as Director of Dairy Business Development. Sepragen
has recently announced the commercialization of its patented Sepralac® Process at two of
its current licensees, Anchor Products, Ltd., of New Zealand, and Carbery Food
Ingredients, of Ireland.
Mr. Nielsen has a career spanning over 30 years in the dairy industry with senior
positions including General Manager of DDS Filtration and Technical Director of Dairy and
Food Division for giant food equipment supplier APV. He is presently also Chairman of
Danish Food Industry Forum. Mr. Nielsens focus will be to establish the Sepralac®
Process as the standard process of choice amongst leading dairy producers for making high
value protein ingredients for the next generation infant formula, geriatric foods, sports
nutrition and nutraceutical markets. About his joining Sepragen, Mr. Nielsen had the
following to say, Sepragen has unique and patented technology that can be used for
the production of high value ingredients for the dairy industry. My career which has
spanned over 30 years has been involved with upgrading whey from a waste product to a high
value nutritional source with a variety of technologies, including membrane filtration. I
am confident that the major dairy processors will embrace the Sepralac® technology as
Anchor Products and Carbery have done and am excited about this opportunity.
